R4 doesn’t work on 3DS part 2

I have figured out why the R4 wasn’t working in my red 3DS, look in the attached picture. I caught a bent pin. That is likely the verdict. Is this pin able to be bent back in place without opening the 3DS? Would be very grateful if anyone helps and says an answer. (Sorry it’s a little blurry I only got an iPhone camera

It might be doable using a pair of tweezers or even a paperclip to pry it back to the correct position, but I think it would be much easier to fix by disassembling the console first so you have a better access to it.

I mean my dad could disassemble it but it’d be more convenient to not disassemble it. Thank you for an answer though

Is bending that pin back into place going to help? Do you know what pin that is for by the way, it’s the side pointing towards the charging port that pin is one left from the very right one (when holding the console camera side up)

Does the console read different cartridges or do they also fail to work?

The pins could very well not be the problem if other carts do work without issue.

It works fine for regular DS/3DS cartridges with those ridges between the pins

Only R4s and cartridges without those ridges are problematic
