i accidentally deleted everything that came with the r4, where can i download these files again?

have you tried ysmenu ?_? it is lightyears better than the official, practically antiquated, r4 firmware
or even better: buy a better cart (like the SCDS2)

Oops, sorry I never realised YSMenu was the default software.

Look on the box/card, there should be a URL, go to the site and visit the Download page, get the latest firmware, copy onto the micro sd. If not try YSMENU.
