with my old m3 miniSD, i could hold the select-button, and it would boot the normal ds-software.

is there a way i can do that with r4? i have a flashed ds lite.
i tried holding some random button combinations, but nothing worked^^

btw, holding a+b+x+y while bootin results in a whitescreen...

Wow.. I had no idea that it existed.. And yes it works fine with GBA games, I just tested it.
Do you know a homebrew that can dump the DS firmware to a .nds file?

there is a program to dump the DS firmware, but it needs to be hacked to turn into a bootable nds, as olimar did.

Right. You can easily dump your firmware and BIOS files using one of several available dumpers (heck, even DSLinux can dump your firmware if you want) but Olimar stated that it took a lot of work to get it into a *.nds executable file. Thus, he's not making a DS Lite version of it.
