Ehh.. To be fair, in most cases on this.. the democratic party is "You don't force your religion or bedroom believes on others..." While the republican part is almost always "THE BIBLE SAYS!" *ignoring that most of them don't even -know- what the bible says*

I remember pre 2016 internet! I couldn't stream youtube because I had to pay for it from my isp!

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

You know what's more important than net neutrality?
NUT NEUTRALITY.
Imagine calling your comcast rep so you can get an adult package
The operator is a nice christian woman, she probably has a husband and kids
You (with bated breath): Uh.... could I get the porno premium package?
Think about it. None of us want to be ***that*** guy.
That's how Pornhub will die lol

Honestly I don't care. These internet packages won't happen because they'll be ceased by the FTC
These internet fast lanes won't happen either because of the FTC
I really don't care, and I don't know why anyone else does.
Man, you're way too optimistic about this. It's basically the same people controlling the FTC that control the FCC. And they didn't stop the Sinclair or AT&T mergers.

I can’t agree with repeal at this point. ISP’s have regional monopolies essentially over broadband service regionally. Limited infrastructure is the main issue imo. Until America invests in more, ISP’s can use the existing resources to strongarm consumers and potential competition.

It’s like having an apple tree(infrastructure) and since the existing dominant trader(ISP) has the most money, they’ll have bigger, more apple consuming bids for the apples and can pass that down to apple buyers(internet service consumers) and lock out other potential traders(smaller ISP’s) until more apple trees are grown.

Oh? Enlighten me. Having Charter/Spectrum/Optimum and CenturyLink, I can say that I haven't seen this. Not to dismiss this claim, but never had seen/heard/read of torrents being cut off. The search redirects, yes. That still happens though..

These are only a select few things that they were done and most well known ones and this is just Comcast. Other ISPs have been under fire before for their shady practices before Net Neutrality.
People like to pretend everything was fine before NN, but that only shows that they don't know what ISPs used to do. ISPs used to get away with a lot of shit before this bill was put into place and put a stop to that shit. They were in favor of removing it to return to their shady practices.

Ironically, that comic proves my point. The Baker is committing a sin that is as "horrible" as being gay. Not to me tion according he -should- bake the cake.

Matthew 5:41 If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles.

Net Neutrality Wars - The longstanding battle between bandwidth communism and bandwidth capitalism. Did I get it right?

Pretty much... I support neutrality but i'm certain even if Comcast does greedy shit the state level authorities will act on it.

I'm Canadian tho so this doesn't affect me (yet...?)

Yeah right. Because everybody is born heterosexual as the (((Lord))) intended. Everyone is supposed to be attracted exclusively to the opposite sex, and the bullshit paassive "love your enemy" and related stuff is tter "divine" wisdom. /sarcasm

Uhh... not sure why you’re mad at me..... I was just saying how hypocritical the comic was for bashing the gay couple, and that 90 percent of “good Christians” don’t even know what their damn book says.

Doesn't Canada have an even worst monopoly than the US? When I look at the cost for major cities in Canada, it makes the prices in the US look good. Esp, when it comes to mobile.

As for net neutrality, it feels like it has been dead for years now. What do you call T-Mobile's binge on? Doesn't that violate net neutrality?

First of all it's cellular and that's always been sketchy. Second of all it doesn't speed any thing up it just lowers video quality for you.

And net neutrality is about censorship and speeds, even if you charge more for data/internet it's still fair because its a equal experience for all.

Okay. Let's say I have a T-Mobile 5gb plan. I use up all my data, and am now throttled at like dial up speed. I turn off binge on, and now my Netflix is high quality, but it's throttling like crazy, because, ya know, dial up speeds! But, if I turn on binge on, my Netflix is now low quality(480p?), but buffers at full speed. Is that not a difference in download speeds? Does that not violate net neutrality?

Its honestly up to opinion, generally it takes longer to load higher quality videos, so its not in the providers hands...in fact its in the hands of the video provider.

Nope, if I use up my 5gb, I'm forced onto dial up speed to watch Netflix by T-Mobile. But, hey, I have T-Mobile, so I can turn on their unique feature, to watch 480p Netflix videos at full speed, AND it won't eat up my data. Sure good thing I have T-Mobile, and Netflix, and not any of those other video services, that aren't on binge on.

If I had T-Mobile, I could watch all these services without eating up my data, and watch them at faster speeds when I run out of 5gb data.

Net neutrality had been dead since Binge on came out.

Net neutrality was alive, but mobile plans have always been this way. Without net neutrality binge on is going to come to broadband or something similar.

they realized the people working in government were just watching porn all day instead of doing their job, so they decided to punish everyone else
