Wii (GameCube comp.)

When you install a WAD to Wii menu, does it go to your SD card, or only shows up there?
I plan on Letterbombing it.
But my crappy phone won't let me click the blue wire Or the red one.

It goes to the Wii menu, you can optionally transfer to your SD card through Channel Management, you also need a custom IOS80 to play your pirate VC/WiiWare.

It's not dangerous at all if you know what you're doing and since you can use emunand or Dolphin to test there is pretty much no way of messing up.

When editing the banner, Customizemii will automatically resize the textures to the needed size so you won't brick that way anyway.
If it's only for a few games you should definitely go for it.
