Hacking quick question

I softmodded my Wii using Xzero's guide around Christmas time. At the time i believe the cios rev was 14. Everything has worked flawlessly since then, even NSMB. Now that I am about to play SMG2, I have read that I need to update to rev17 or later. What is the best way to update? Should I just follow the guide again (after making a NAND dump obviously). I do not want to update to a new rev only to have it break Hermes or whatever!


I am asking because everything has worked great so far, every single game i have tried has ran on USBloader GX.

I am of the mindset that if it is not broke, dont fix it.

It ain't broke, so don't fix it. There's no protection on SMG2
