Hi, I've been dabbling with MPlayer-CE and whilst it's working fine I cannot seem to get it to read any of the SMB shares from my NAS. There are no problems with the network or reading the SMB shares from the other computers on the network.

My NAS a LanDisk Network Hard Drive Enclosure with an 80 GB FAT32 formatted drive inside. The SMB on the NAS can be read from the computers on the network and XBMC without problems.

So the question is. Does MPlayer-CE read the SMB shares from a NAS or do the shares need to be on a computer.

...

Now working with the 0.72 release.

I have a Transend TS-U200 which has SMB/WFS enabled but I am also unable to get Mplayer CE v.62 to see my share even with correct user/pass.

However I have a 2TB RAID5 on an old file server that is running 2003 server that works just fine.

I wish I could get my Transend TS-U200 to work with MPlayer CE.

I'm going through the same thing with a 1TB drive on a NAS enclosure. Connects with no problems from my PC and Mac, but no luck from my Wii, even using FTP. How come networking is so hit-or-miss?
