if i never installed ios56 through wad manager, does that matter? i only used it as a base for rev 20 installation?

---> any risk in trying to install ios56 now through wad manager?
No, the base is not the IOS, so no risk or something.

Do I need a GC memory card to hold save files from GC backups?
You will need a gc memory card and a gc controller, nothing else supported, that's the gamecube mode.

Thanks for your help. Now, for something completely different...

Will loading VBA GX from USB loader GX make it run any faster? I ask because I boot it from the homebrew channel and Golden Sun is really choppy, and since it has "GX" in the title I don't know if it's supposed to boot of USBLGX.

No, this will change nothing. "GX" is the graphical user interface, nothing more. The speed is the same, just make sure you are using the newest vbagx version.

I have an old laptop hard drive (Fujistu MHW2160BH) that i want to use but i have read conflicting reports whether that you need to make sure the hard drive is compatible or the enclosure it is in is compatible. which one should I be more concerned with?

Hi,
Is there an easy guide explaining how to use neo gamma r9 with ocarina. i dont really get any of the boot lang stuff or how to get code onto the sd card

This might sound stupid, but do Wii games have anti-piracy? I ask because lots of people are saying Metroid: Other M runs fine, and it was just released and I don't see any "AP patch" Threads anywhere. It's just kind of weird because NDS releases always have tons of AP

if im using NeoGamma R7 can i still play an original version of MH3? and do i need to post the CIOS for these type of questions?

Ok noob question here.

I just bought a 350gb external HDD. I tried to format it to fat32 but the only option that came up was "exfat" I googled around and found a post saying if u convert it with "32kilobytes" it will format to the fat32 format. Thats what i did

Now im trying to load some games on my hdd. When i load up usb loader gx everytime i try to select my hdd a code dump comes up and then i just go back to the wii menu.

Any help? I want to use the fat32 format and not wbfs as im gonna be using the same hdd for my ps3.

Okay, since i haven't updated in a long while some games won't work, i have a 4.1E with some cios rev14, i decided to update to rev20b, i know i should choose IOS249, but what should i choose after it? IOS57/IOS56?

edit:
Finally decided to choose 57&37, after reading some.

I've been out of the Wii loop for quite some time, before I just had a hard drive with wbfs and installed all games there.

Now I have a Wii again and I asked a friend of mine who said that the best way to format my hard drive now was doing 3 partitions, one FAT32 for the wiiware games, one WBFS for normal games and one NTFS for the Dual Layer games.

Is that the optimum way of partitioning my USB HD?

Any help would be appreciated.

Can someone explain to me how i convert my harddrive to fat32? I have a 320gb and im on windows 7. The only option it gives me is "ExFat" which obviously the wii doesn't read.

I' having alitlte problem updating with Pimp My Wii and I was wondering if anyone could help me. I pressed "pass test and install" but once it got to the install phase, the downloader failed to find most of the files, so basically I was wondering how to fix this, or where I can download them manually(Or is asking that not allowed, if it is sorry)

BTW the files it didn't download were several IOS and the Shopping channel
