Hacking Questions about gateway exploits with the card...

I do not have a gateway card, I used the launcher.dat from the download section of their website than ran the exploit on my 9.2.0-20u 3DS. I backed up my nand using the tool on the exploit. If I downgrade to 4.x, will I need the gateway card to make an emunad, because I want to have an explot that does not require internet/gateways servers being up, and I also want to be able to use the eshop, but I cannot currently afford a flashcart because I recently lost my job and my mom wont pay for one.

TLDR;
If I downgrade to 4.x, can I make/run an emunand without the gateway card?

i never tried it.. supposedly you can.
get started on that credit card app.. its FDIC insured... the economy is about to collapse anyways lol
