I'm looking into buying a new phone I want to jail break it and use it for emulators mostly Nintendo gba/ds I was leaning towards the iPhone 6/6s (not sure if there's much of a difference in emulation speed between the two) but I thought an android might be better for emulation can anyone help me decide what phone would be best for what I plan on using it for thanks also is ps1 and n64 emulation possible on a phone?

Android all the way. Better for emulation and as a phone in general.

On Android you can get emulators from the Play Store, no jailbreak/root required, and they're far more lenient in general as you can do a lot of things that you'd need a jailbreak for on iOS.
So yeah, Android is better for emulation.
PS1 works great, I use FPse but there's also ePSXe. N64 works well too with Mupen64Plus AE, but it's not perfect. Not an issue of power, the N64 is just hard to emulate.
If you have a powerful enough device you can even run Dolphin, but it won't be full speed. The Tegra X1 which is the most powerful ARM CPU on the mainstream market gets around 30-40 FPS in many GC/Wii games.
PSP and NDS games also run very well.

All the flagship devices nowadays are very similar, so you can't go wrong with any of them really. The S7 and S7 Edge are both great devices, so is the HTC 10, I've heard that LG devices can be problematic but there are a lot of people who are happy with them.

Like he said it is better. Instead of jailbreaking or rooting you can simply install .apk and emulate without the need to hack files. Also a .apk is more stable than adding an icon to homescreen on iPhone.
Actually, we can now install IPAs without jailbreaking.

IPAs are as well extremely unstable. My friend had an IPA and it got stuck on his phone somehow. He couldn't untrust the developer and it wouldn't delete. It wasn't a virus we know that.

IPA is literally the app installer. Even apps you get from the App Store get downloaded in IPA format and installed.

I am talking about non-licensed IPA. You know I was.
Well, I am able to install any IPA to any device. I don't have to care about it being licensed or not. And I am sure I won't have a problem with trusting the developer, because I use my own certificate. And yes, you can get your own too for free.

kk :rofl2:

Advantage of Iphone 6s/7 is the very efficient single core speed (Mainly a neccessity for emulating more modern devices). In particular for the Iphone 7 which is noticably a lot more efficient than the Snapdragon 820 found in the high end Android phones. Btw, according to benchmarks, the Adreno 530 GPU in the snapdragon 820 exceeds that of the Tegra K1 GPU on the nvidia shield tablet.
