ooooh boy...

CD Drive will most likely require kernel permissions. If you're doing an "exploit" for 5.5.X, you would need to develop a kernel exploit beforehand.
Also, don't make the same mistake as me and suddenly announce you're doing a 5.5 kexploit when no-one knows you.

I think a better approach in getting an exploit would be to work with someone else or a small group privately, that way you can put together your knowledge and get something out!

It's hard for most to fully support or trust someone who randomly shows up and says they are doing something that is pretty difficult to accomplish and especially with nothing to show for it. Even if you are actually making progress and doing things people are tough to impress around here.

If it were me I would get everything set up and running to a point where I could release it before even mentioning it. Look what has happened to the devs out there showing off things and talking about releasing, they get caught up with real life and it takes then longer which is perfectly fine, yet everyone gets upset haha

If you wanted to be public about it then make a WIP thread with your ideas and everything laid out and keep it updated often with new progress. That would be something I would love to follow and help with, however be warned that lots of people may not be the nicest, as you've seen in another thread ;)
