Hacking Question:WUP Installer and Wii U update

Hey everyone,I'm new in the hacking community and I'm here because I need a clear response to my question.
I've used WUP Installer in order to install two games in the internal memory of my Wii U.Everything is alright.Both games work perfectly.
I'm going to get soon a LAN adapter for my Wii U.I saw a video how to install the adapter and noticed I have to do a update.
Can I make the update without bricking my Wii U?
(Sorry if I might look terrible but really just thinking about the fact my Wii U could brick just because of a update...)

But there's not a another way/option to install the update?
Like Idk, for example,should I delete definitely my games from my Internal memory?
I've finished them and don't play them anymore so?

I meant it cant brick just select the update folder as well

It's safe to update to 5.5.1
But in the future if Nintendo releases another update, they'll likely patch the exploits, and users with CBHC installed may be bricked.
