Hacking Homebrew Question: How do I update my Wii's cIOSs?

Greetings, i was wondering how i could do an update of the cIOSs of my Wii. Back in the day followed a tutorial to softmod it, tutorial that currently is very outdated. To update them I tried to use ModMii, but i'm not sure if it's safe beause it downloads too much copies of the IOS60, and don't know if installing them (or not installing them) will damage the Wii. Is safe to do the update from this source, or is better to do it following other way? I'll leave the SysCheck report inside a .rar.

Fine, in fact it it brick prevention in case someone (invariably the console owner's cousin/brother/dog but never himself) were to forget the critical step while downgrading the Wii Menu or region changing from Korean, and even without doing that it comes with other benefits ie trucha in the Wii Menu IOS (→ can use the official joke "Copy/Move" and "SD Card Menu" with non-original channels)

All CIOSes are made by taking a base (official IOS), adding some patches, and changing the titleID (to "give them a different number"), and this is no exception

As for the literal question in the title, you don't update them (or any other title) in the strict sense, rather you (re)install the desired version, and if you chose the same base/slot combination and a newer CIOS of the same family (eg "d2x") the practical result is an update

It's safe. The IOS60/IOS70/IOS80 are for safety in case someone were to ever downgrade their system menu as the stubbed IOS which get installed by normal updates would cause a brick in that case.

Fine, just was wondering if they were so important. So I disabled that option and ModMii downloaded everything according to the report, and all cIOS were updated successfully. Thank you all for your support
