Hello guys, i have a japanese wii u and changed the region, now i want to overclock the wii u to see how much improve, the question is, in the guide https://www.reddit.com/r/WiiUHacks/comments/1nitjyw/wii_u_gpu_overclock_guide/ says to delete some files from ISFShax, and make some steps, the thing is, considering that i already have ISFShax installed, do i need to do those steps or just modify the minute.ini?

maybe master @SDIO can help me with this?, thanks it advance.

As I remember, I only downloaded a special version of ISFShax and made changes in minute.ini. I also delidded my SoC and replaced the fan with a Noctua.

I noticed almost no difference. I tested Trine 1 and got 1-4 more FPS. I think that for most games the CPU is the bottleneck, not GPU.

So, It’s not worth it.

You need to habe ISFShax (or defuse) installed to load minute and you need the normal minute (not the fastboot one). Then you can just configure the overclock in the minute.ini.

If you don't autoboot, you should see the values it applies

It seems to be benefical for GPU intensive games, but CPU is the bottleneck on Wii U, the console is running on a tricore PPC where every core is an overclocked Wii CPU.

I'll admit i'm curious about this though, and i just installed ISFShax past weekend to use a partitioned disk. I may test it with a few games.

It's basically just a sidegraded 360 CPU that isn't clocked as fast as it could be for heat reasons. This combined with having to drive two screnes and more intensive OS and applet stuff than the 360 did...

It would be useful to have an option to overclock just the CPU. When I modded it with a Noctua, the airflow became much better than with the original cooler.

No the Wii U is not a sidegraded Xbox 360. The Wii U CPU has a much older micro architecture. Mostly the same as the GC.
The Xbox CPU was more advanced.

It is not possible to overclock the CPU on the Wii U
