Good morning. I just got a N3DS with firmware version 11.2.0.35U. I have been looking around on how to mod it. There are ALOT of different ways. What I really want to do is just be able to mod it and play 3DS\DS and other games that are available. I was going to follow the guide on 3ds.guide, but I am not sure about it. I have modded the PSP and Wii back in the day, but the N3DS looks like too many options. Any help would be great appreciated!!! Have a good day!

^^Cool. Thank you!!^^

Don't you backup your nand first? I mean, before doing anything?

Thank you. Just nervous. I don't want to brick it. I appreciate the help!

Question: After I did the CTRTransfer, and removed the sdcard and rebooted. The screen is at Ready to start system update. This is not in the instructions. Do I just cancel?

Cancel! Do not update! Continue the guide to install arm9loaderhax, after that the guide will instruct you to restore the NANDmin.bin you made earlier in the guide.

I just did an 11.2 the other day. Follow the instructions of the guide to a t and you'll be fine. There is a part when copying the otp that takes a long while with no progress bar. Don't freak out like I did its not frozen, just wait it out

Got it so far!!! Thanks! I figured I do not want to update if I am trying to downgrade (at that point). Almost finished.

Update: When I launch the homebrew launcher to do the DSP dump, homebrew errors out saying "An error occurred. Please save your data..." Any ideas?

Update #2: I disabled “New 3DS CPU” to “Clock+L2(x)” and I am now able to launch DSP Dump.

Update #3: All done!!! Yay me!! Thanks for the reassurance though! I had a couple of different issue that were not on the guide, but I got through them. Have a great day everyone!!!

I had the same issue with homebrew launcher, disabling the new 3ds cpu worked. I get stuck at a white screen now with the message "The homemenu ropbin is ready". Did you fix this also?

It worked after a few attempts of shutting down and relaunching it.

I did have that issue also. I had to reboot it like 4 times. Then when I tried , the bottom screen went red (instead of white) and launched just fine.

Fine your games in .cia format. .3ds is for Gateway.
Thank you very much!

Use this to download and install 3ds games. You'll need to go into the freeshop settings and tell it to auto update the titlekeys. Google search encrypted title keys, when you find the right page there will be a button with a qr code. Use the auto update scanner in free shop to scan it.

...h..o..l..y....IT'S THE HOLY GRAIL!!! Wow! Thank you!!

I Read the Guide and a Question have here a 2ds with 9.2, Gateway and Menuhax+ all the Stuff no CFW. In a few days have a (New) New 3ds Black Dragonball Z Extreme Butoden Bundle from Ebay hope the Firmware is under 11.2...
Can i use my Physical copy OOT Cartrigde with OOT Hax installed and downgrade to 9.2 with no problems?

If you do follow the 3ds.guide, it is probably the best way. I had firmware ver. 11.2.0-35U. I followed the guide, downgraded, modded, then updated to 11.3. Follow the guide. Read ahead when waiting for your NAND to backup (and also restore later). Be patient. Good luck.

threads like this are proof that gbatemp is great op asks questions save for weedz no one answered more than one question and the op goes from plain old vanilla to extra crunchy luma(chip)

# +1 for gbatemp
