Ok, so, I was updating the kernel today for the FFCC rom problem, and while i was doing it, i saw a "GBAFrame" icon in the _system_ file... that wasn't in the old one.

My question: What is that for?

I assume you're referring to the new R4DS kernel, V1.17 (mention of the "_system_" folder is the giveaway).

gbaframe.bmp provides a border around the screen when playing GBA cartridges booted from Slot 2 using the "GBA" button on the right of the menu for the R4DS/M3DSSimply and clones like the n5 or (I believe - haven't examined its kernel yet) e7.
