Hardware Question about sd card.

I am modding a Switch with 7.0.1 and I am trying to use a 256gb micro sd card. Is there a special program I need to use to get it to format to fat32?

What do you think I tried first? I tried using a few programs and the Switch wants to format it and then it wants me to update the software. I have a 128gb formated as fat32 and the Switch works with it and doesn't want me to update. I'm only having trouble with the 256gb.

guiformat work fine, it has nothing to do with your system asking you to update. Also check if the 256GB is bootleg with h2testw.

I formated it with guiformat and put it in the Switch. The Switch poped up for me to format it and I did that then the Switched said that a system update is required to use the microsdxc memory card. The Switch won't read it. The memory card was bought from MicroCenter.

That weird, it only asks for that if the card is formatted exFAT, because you don't have the exFAT driver, FAT32 formatted card doesn't ask for that.

Try Minitool partition Wizard to partition it, FAT32 , Primary, 32KB cluster. If not Im ran out of idea, if the card is formatted correctly it doesn't ask for the exFAT driver.

There is a problem with the card. I bought 2 of the exact same ones and the 2nd card works fine formated as fat32.
