Hacking Question about R4i

Hello, I recently bought a 3DS XL, and I I'm thinking of buying an R4 card for it, and I have a couple of questions.

• While playing DS games, do I have access to the internet?
• Can I play DS games online using R4? Like Pokemon?
• Someone told me that if I used R4 once, I won't be able to access the internet on the console at all, is it true?
• If I used the R4 card and played DS games, will I be able to play 3DS games online again?
• This is not related to R4, but can I play online if I get original DS cards?
