Hacking Question about PS3

I will be going to get ps3 for gift and I have question. Is PS3 region free so if I buy Japanese copy of BlazBlue for PAL ps3, it should work without problems?

Yes, PS3 games are completely region free.

The PS3 game are region-free but the console isn't.

That mean your game will work but you won't be able to buy DLC from the psn store since it needs to be in the same area of the game.

If you have an old non-HD tv you have to watch for the pal/ntsc compatibility too.
