Hardware [q]System update location?

Hi,

Whenever i boot my 8.2 3DS, it asks me to update my system.
Where is the System update stored? Can i delete this without formatting my 3DS?

It's saved to the nand somewhere. No, nobody's yet figured out how to remove it without formatting.
