Gaming put same touch screen in and now doesnt work

hi guys wondering if anyone can help i recently put in all the parts from my old shell (nintendo ds lite) into a new one and now the bottom touch screen doesnt work, it was working fine before but since ive put it in the new shell it turn on and shows image nicely but the touch just isnt working so im asking if anyone has had this type of problem and could give me a solution. its happened to me a couple time before and just totally lost o-O thanks in advance

You may have pinched the ribbon cable. It's a common issue when doing screen replacements.

ahh right would taking the protective screen cover of stop it from working ?

You may have to redo that particular part and verify that the connection wasn't pinched. All I do know is that for the majority of screen related issues people tend to get, the major cause is a pinched ribbon cable.

Ribbon cables are right bit*hes alright - they either get pinched, slide around or aren't in their socket properly. Remove it, check it for damage, put it in again and re-check if it works.

i suppose its going to be trial and error -_- and see if i can get it right might be all of the above . thanks anyway to both of you
