Gaming put cheats on a patched rom

Hi,
I've got an r4 with action replay cheat file on it.
the cheats work with all games except the ones that are patched
like dragon quest heavenly bride or gta.

How do you get the cheats to work for a patched rom like these.

Download the R4 Cheat Code Editor.

Use the Game ID finder to find out the game ID of the patched rom.

Replace the existing Game IDs with the new-found game IDs for the patched roms.

Cheats show up.
