yeah, im looking to buy a psp and i dont know whether to get a 2000 or 3000. the cfw doesnt really matter to me, but i heard
the 3000 had a problem with the screens and stuff. I also want to get a bundle to save some cash. Do they still have 2000 bundles?
cause when i looked online nearby stores didnt have any.
so thx for reading if you looked

I would go with the 2000 because with the 3000 you have visible scanlines. You will probably get bored with your psp and want to custom firmware it somewhere down the line. At my local gamestop they still sell 2000 bundles. 2000 bundle is probably cheaper than the 3000

Lol wtf?
Wasn't the 3000 supposed to have better screens

Well if it doesn't then I'm happy I got a 2000 right before the 3000 came out.

Reports of the inferior quality of the PSP 3000's screen and the scanlines have been greatly exaggerated. The hardware upgrade itself is fine, although unnecessary, it's just the new mobo that's the problem.

On the playstion website they said they were all the same price.
and if i ever do want to use cfw,
i dont want to risk modding my battery or buy one online.

Have any of you even touched a PSP v3, or are you just bullshitting somebody based on what you heard on the internet?

My brother and I both got PSP v3s today for Christmas, and when we booted one up to check it out I sat there trying to find the scanlines everybody bitches over and can't even detect them. Sounds like people getting upset over absolutely nothing.

If you don't care about hacking your PSP, the current one is definitely the way to go. The screen _is_ better, despite what these people are claiming. The display is improved, and they used a new material to reduce glare.

Yup. I had one for two weeks

And the screen sucks

You can't notice the thing if you haven't ever used any other PSP model, though. But if you have, it's not a pretty sight.

EDIT: I should stop editing so much after I post something >_>
