Although DS does lose out to PSP in some games. Disgaea is a good example. Graphics were tuned down, Etna's side-story-mode was cut out, and some of the voiceovers were cut out. And DS games also tend to lack longevity - I tend to beat most DS games between 1 day and 1 week. Some PSP games can take months (Disgaea for instance).

One thing I just remembered, DS games are usually 8-32MB, whilst PSP CSOs are anything from 100MB to 1GB.

IMO, best game on DS is Another Code: Dual Memories. Best game on PSP is Monster Hunter 2nd G.

Games on DS > Games on PSP

The exception is if a game is on both. Then the PSP is better.
Not really, I could list quite a few PSP-exclusive games that are bloody amazing...

They're both good, I guess. I play on my PSP a little bit more though.

I like my psp more than my nds. I'm more in to games like ff7cc and mhf2. I'm going to sell my ds after I beat the new castlevania and the new kh.

Loco Roco, Patapon, (Patapon2 and LocoRoco2 But they're not out yet, but they look great), Crisis Core, Tales of Eternia, Tales of Legendia 2, Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology, Disgaea (PSP version owns the DS version hands down, although that was part of your point), WipEout Pulse, Grand Theft Auto Liberty/Vice City Stories (2 games there

), Gitaroo Man Lives!, Me and My Katamari, and Sonic Rivals 1+2 which are far better than the crappy Rush games on DS (at least, in my opinion). SOCOM FTB 2, PaRappa the Rapper (debatable), flOw (PSN title. not really a game exactly but fun!), all the Megaman games

There are a handful of PSP games that are good, but the DS has more good games.

There are almost 2x as many DS games, and developers are still supporting the system. I play less old games and more new games. The PSP hasn't had many new games in the past 6 months that have enticed me to play.

This is just my opinion, mind you. Keep in mind that I'm an RPG, strategy, and adventure game player. I don't replay any game once I beat it or move on to something else. I also don't play games for long that lack a storyline and require grinding.

That being said, I think I've completed all but one PSP game I've played for longer than 5 hours. (Lego Indy, GoW, Jeanne D'Arc, and Disgaea.) I've played 5-6 others, including the grind-a-rific MHF series. I wonder if that means there aren't enough PSP games to suck me in past the 5 hour mark?

After chilling with my trusty DS for about 2 years, I tried out my brother's recently bought PSP and haven't put that PSP down since.

Don't get me wrong, I love my DS. Its just that the PSP has just far better specs, better graphics, better sound, its just fantastic. Sure, the DS has more innovative and fun games, but that doesn't mean there are none for the PSP.

Also, contrary to popular belief, the PSP has a much larger homebrew scene than the DS, including games, emulators (gotta love that damn PSP emulator) and applications.

After playing both intensively and exploring the best games of both systems, I suggest going for a PSP.

which psp slim are hackable for custom firmware and such
All of them are hackable, with the exception of the ones shipped with the Ta88V3 Mobo.
As long as you don't buy a brand spanking new psp slim, you should be fine.
