Hacking PSP noob here, new games question

Hello, I'll be getting a brand new PSP 3000 tomorrow, mainly because there is a new One Piece game coming and I wanted to play some other games for a while now.

I know it's 6.2, so I can Hack it if I want
but, will new games work on it? original and hacked ones ( I intend to buy some games I like)
can I update it to 6.60? I heard that 6.61 is not very good for hacking, but if I update won't it get the newest OS?

6.60 can be hacked but there is no need to because PRO firmware works with every game.
6.61 doesnt exist.

sorry, I don't really understand. like I said I'm a noob.
why can I leave it unhacked? can I play hacked games on a legit console??? and what is PRo?
6.60 is the latest version then?

Also, about 6.61, it look's real.. at least it says so on the guide here:

You can update to 6.60 and use 6.60 PRO-C CFW. I have it on my PSP-3000.

I meant you dont need 6.60 because 6.20 will work - you need to hack but you dont need to update (sorry)
PRO is the hack used in guide
6.61 is in the guide to make it future-proof (after 6.61 gets released)

from what I got from reading around, 6.60 PRO-C CFW is a hacked homebrew yes? is it supposed to work with any game? old and new?

ANY pro works with ANY game.
Also about your previous question:

Actually you can - if you convert them to eboots (Very anoying and most games dont work)

What about online.. can I play hacked/original games online? and use the online shop? can I get bricked?
also, can I ruin/get bricked by sony by just hacking my PSP?

online works fine - even with hacked games
you can brick if your PSP turns off during installing (it takes about 4 seconds so it will probably not happen)

you can also brick if you do something stupid so FOLLOW THE GUIDE
