my joystick refused to move in the up+right direction, so i took my psp apart and cleaned it a lil, hoping that it would magically fix itself. now the problem is worst: its constantly moving in the up+right direction without me pressing anything. thinking that i misplaced the joystick or something, i took out the joystick for a test, and its STILL moving up+right. the direction pad works fine (it overrides the up+right) so thats not the issue.

Does this mean that its not the joystick thats broken, but the psp mobo?

wow thx for the fast responses! i didnt know about joysens (wow i wouldnt have bought a philips screwdriver and save myself a buck) but i just searched up about it, and it sounds like it just might fix my issue. if that doesnt work, ima change the contact piece, cuz it sounds like thats the issue.

thanks again!
