Did you add the plugins you tried to game.txt? For any plugin you use, you have to add it to vsh.txt, game.txt, or pops.txt if you want to use the plugin on the XMB, while playing games, or while playing ps1 games, respectively. They won't show up in the recovery menu otherwise.

Here's an example of what game.txt should look like, if you want to use a plugin for save states and nothing else.
Code:
ms0:/seplugins/pspstates_kai.prx 1

Personally, I use this:http://dl.qj.net/down/psp-states-menu-pict-v3-save-with-graphical-style.html
Since states_menu_pict.prx activates the pspstates_kai.prx plugin by itself, all you need in game.txt is "ms0:/seplugins/states_menu_pict.prx 1". Of course, you'll need to have both files in the seplugins folder of your memory stick, and probably that ini file that comes with it as well.

The PSP Savestate Plugin you suggested, how do you activate the menu? I looked in the included readme and couldn't find anything on it.

After pressing the home button and getting the "Would you like to quit the game?" prompt, press L and R to have the menu appear.

However, after looking the stuff inside of the download I linked you to, the ini file is set to start a plugin with the name "pspstateskai.prx", while the one included is named "pspstates_kai.prx". Make it so they both match first, then it will work properly.

I apologize for reviving an old thread, not knowing if I was allowed to open a similar one.
I have 2 questions regarding psp-states plugin, obviously addressed to those who have already used it:

1) Does it actually work with pops and psx games too (I want those, who have verified it themselves, to answer)?;

2) Is there any danger, during the save, of corruption of the Memory Stick (since the save file should be about 35mb, as it is written in the readme, and the writing time could be very long)?

Thanks in advance.:)
