Gaming PSP downloaded save always corrupted?

I have a 2000 running firmware 5.50. When I download a save from GameFAQ or anywhere else, it's always corrupted? I can see the save file from the save menu, but not in the game as it show it's corrupted. I have test many save file among various sources and games, but it's always corrupted. I would greatly appreciate for any aid. Thanks in advance.

5.50 GEN-D3 is know to cause problems with saves. Any games run under it creates saves that can't be opened when running the same game under a different firmware, and vice versa.

Try updating to the latest version of Prometheus.

Is it in the right folder? The saves.

There are save editors on the web, look thru google, I can't give you the sites, as Ive been warned before.

Thank you everyone for answering my question. Originally I chose Jolan's answer as Best Answer, but I found two ways for which I wish to share. Yes, I test Jolan's answer and it indeed worked and he was very helpful. But as I said, I wish to merge his answer and another method into this one post.
