Hello all. I have a quick question and my searching have not turned up any answers. I used to have a launch PSP with 1.5 a year or so ago (probably 2 years now) and at that time you had to have a UMD in the drive in order to launch some of the isos off the memory stick. I assume with the way the new CFW are now that this is no longer necessary but I thought I would check and make sure as I am about to buy a PSP Slim and needed to know if I should also get a game right away or not.

If you hold down the R button, whilst turning on a PSP with up-to-date CFW, one of the options you will find in the menu that appears is the option to make the PSP think there's a UMD in the drive.
