If you have not gone past 5.03 you can put chickhen on it then install a temporary custom firmware.
PSP 3k and 2k with the v3 mobos can only run temporary CFW's as in they have to be restarted if you fully turn off your PSP. That's why it's reccomended that PSP 3k/2kv3 users leave their PSP in sleep mode to save the hassle of running ChickHEN and CFWE.
