Hacking Homebrew PSP 2.71 Downgrade Help?

Ok i am helping a friend downgrade his PSP, Version 2.71. But i have never owned a PSP let alone downgraded it. So I need some help. I tried the Easy 2.71 Downgrader Full but i get an error saying: Extract Error: Wlan.prx. So it isn't that easy.
Suggestions?

There's always a group of people there willing to help you out step-by-step if you ask politely. I knew jack shit about downgrading when I first bought my PSP (oddly enough, I started off with a 2.71 too), I spent an hour or so in there with a few pros and I came out with a great deal knowledge of how upping and downing process works AND my PSP was custom firmware ready. They can also point you in the direction of many files that will assist you as well (alternate easy downgraders for instance).
