Hacking psp 1001 version 5.31 hackable..?

I got myself a psp 1001 on ebay but I wanted to know if I could download UMD to the memory card? its v 3.51 I have a cable to connect it to the computer and a memory stick.... now what do i do??

You should go with 5.50 m33 or 6.20 pro-b5, just find either upgrade file online then look up a guide
