I know it's a pain, and we're always impatient, but your 5 minutes are worth more than turning a $40 piece of technology into a paperweight.
If something unexpected happens with No$GBA while testing your NAND, I guarentee it's worth it to investigate. If you don't or just blame it in No$GBA, you may end up with a brick like mine, and if you can't hardmod, it may be the end of your DSi! (RIP)
I assumed no$GBA was just the problem, and now look where I am!

Don't be careless like me, just test it!

(This is not meant to point out flaws or errors in tools used in the DSi scene, all this is saying is mistakes happen and 1 minute could be the difference between a dead DSi, and an amazing collection of games at your fingertips! Please thank all the amazing people who dedicated their time to give us these tools free of charge, without them, we'd have so much less.)

Testing it out in no$gba is a good idea, however, flashing that NAND to the DSi also kills it as it's not the proper NAND.
Atleast, to test it in no$, you need to add a footer to the NAND iirc.

Anyone messing with the DSi NAND should either have a NAND backup or wait until there's better tools if they're paranoid about bricking.

My advice is to make 2 copies of the Nand before testing, one to set apart and add the No$GBA footer, and the other unmodified. This reduces the chance of leaving that footer and bricking too. The unmodified one is to be flashed if testing goes fine.

It makes it more complicated for the noobies who, despite the warnings, will brick it regardless.

I've got the luck of hardware NAND access, so if anything bricks, reflash and it works again.

I need a hard-mod... would you be interested in hard-modding mine for a reasonable price? You can see the situation mine's in.:hateit:
