Hi, I've been unfortunate recently for my PS4 got hit by a lightning. I am wondering if I could tinker on the motherboard to replace a chip somehow, but I don't know if its possible.
I asked on some sites before and they said that it can't be done anymore. so I am posting here again to make sure of that before I put my 3.55 PS4 Under :nayps3:

Basically, I believe the damage went through the HDMI port. My Samsung TV have this Multiple Connection Hub where most Boxes are connected. This is where a local TV Box is connected and also my PS4. Unfortunately, A sudden lightning strike in front of our house was intercepted by the TV Box and the surge reach my PS4 through the HDMI. The TV survived the surge but injured :D, on the other hand, The PS4 didn't, I can't even boot it up. Now around 1 year after the Lightning, I'd like to know if it is still possible to revive it.

I think the issue might be the sflash0. I think I heard it contains a lot of the specifics for the console.

Let me revive this thread. A ps4 pro owned by a friend of mine got hit by lightning weeks ago. On I found out that the ICs got damaged. No solution for the power pack. I did a tear down of a ps3 super slim. And constructed it's power supply to work on the pro. It came up. But it's HDMI isn't responding. Any solution on the chip or resistor to replace or troubleshoot??????.

Any help is welcome.

Hi, I'm sorry, I never had any progress on my PS4, I'd really like to revive it but my skills are too noob, I could pry it open but when technicality requires me to start checking components, that's where I am lacking. so for now, I'm just dropping by to attach my photographs. Visually, I can't say if anything is really burned around the HDMI. someday perhaps, I might bring it to a repair shop.
