Hardware PS4 Top Metal Shield

Seen a thread where a user cuts off the PS4 metal shield to make room for a 15mm tall 2.5' HDD.

What is the best option that I have?
Cut off my own metal shield?
Buy a metal shield which is modified to fit a 15mm HDD?
Buy a 12mm tall 2.5' HDD?
Get a 3D printer to make something to replace the top shield?

PS4 model is CUH1006.

Technically you could but you would have to take apart the metal shield near the HDD slot
