Gaming PS4 screenshots shared on twitter are resized?

So I took a couple of screenshots via the Share button and shared them on twitter. But they have been resized to 1200x675 pixels. Their original size as shown on the PS4 is 1920x1080. PNG or JPEG don't matter. Is this normal behavior when sharing screenshots on twitter?

In my experience even photos shared from a computer are resized to that resolution.

In my experience even photos shared from a computer are resized to that resolution.

I just shared a screenshot via a message and viewed in on the PS messages app. Resolution is 1920x1080. It seems resizing is a twitter thing.
