I'm not actually sure and I can't check it because I don't have my PS4 at the moment, but all "old" software will be placed into a folder by default. With old, I mean last used. But I don't know if you can make "folders" to hide them in PS4.

just use folders (if you on the 4.0+)
there is no way to hide icons on the ps4
