Hardware Ps4 launch system disc drive issues

So the manual eject button does not work, the drive wont accept a disc, and the drive makes small noises for about 2 minutes at startup. I tried taking the system apart and with the shell off manually touch the eject button pad on the motherboard and still nothing. Im not shure if the 2 issues are related but my next coarse of action is to take apart the bluray drive itself and inspect for internal issues

my friend @Glyptofane has a lot of issues with his ps4. one of which was the system ejecting discs randomly iirc, so he taped a piece inside the ps4, so that the sensor wouldn't go off. be careful with the bd, because afaik, there's no way to remarry a new one without sony.

Launch day original fat. But i sold it as is on offerup to someone who has all their games digitally and didint care about the dead drive.
