Seems pretty legit stuff.

That is the WORST design for a news page that I have seen in modern times. Wow.

Oh yes, and I would rather buy games than download 18GB. Even dual-layer DVDs are too expensive, Blu-Ray discs are insane. Sure in a few years things will be different, but right now - that's just ridiculous. All an 18GB release does is clog the pipes for the regular stuff. Irritating.

Does anyone actually know what the price of a Blu Ray Burner and some packs of Blu Ray disks costs nowadays?

Sony BWU-100A Internal Blu-ray™ Disc Rewritable Drive ($749.98)
Sony BD-R BLU-RAY DISC™ ($19.98)
Sony Rewritable BD-RE BLU-RAY DISC™ ($24.98)

That's the prices for them at Staples.

They sent us 8 Blu-Ray discs about 3 months ago and guess what, we still haven't sold any.

Why do you have a Blu-Ray burner? That's kind of useless right now, don't you think?

I bought mine for $999 because I screwed up and thought It would hold 50 GIGS of data but once installed I found out it only holds 25 Gigs. Probally wouldn't have bought it if I knew that but I deal with about a 100 NEW Gigs of Data a week that I need to back up so regardless I got a crap load of 4.7 and 8.5 Gig discs....were talking about 800 used Discs so I was trying to less clutter my office. Oh well, and I pay 15 bucks a piece for some Generic stuff however thanks to the Jumpman's post I will be lookin into Sony's $20 media. An extra 5 dollars for a name I heard is important to me cause if I go to get my media and its gone...well then I shall be uber pissed.

Yes, as it is now, Blu-rays only hold 25 gigs of space. The 50 gigs they refer to is the eventual release of dual-layer blu-rays which will then hold 50 gig.

Wow, that's still only about enough for (if we're lucky) 3 games. Which is way different then when I put in a 250gb HDD in my Xbox and had 5 xbox games, several anime series, a lot of roms and music and still had 100gb left. In fact, I hope there IS a hack to allow the use of external HDD.

if your talking about the ps3 theres no need for external

looking further down in the article
DailyTech already attempted to use a 3.5" 320GB hard drive (with some creative cabling), and had no problem utilizing the new drive.

now microsoft better wake up and do the same, 20 gigs is nothing.
