Hacking Ps3 cfw questions

I can't remember if I asked this or not but I'm planning to get cfw on my ps3.
Here's a few questions.

1- is it ready to backup my physical copies of games? Or would it be easier to get digital copies to save space?

2- seen PSP works on PS3 how good is compatibility?

3- how is retroarch? I want to mainly play SNES/genesis/gameboy
And how do fx chip games run? (Kinda want to play Mario RPG)

4- all my digital games that I own is it easy to keep em? Or does the process require a format/restore

1-I think both of dem is same. You can copy physical discs on multiman. Google it.

2- I don't know so much but you can play psp minis on ps3.

3- Idk ;-;

4- If u gonna make the console cfw with ps3exploit savegames games trophies etc. won't be deleted. You can copy dem to external after cfw'ing it. You can just copy ur ofw digital games from multiman...
