Yes. While using psninja/psn patch/or disabling cfw syscalls at startup ive had no issues but naturally theres no guarentee.

you can use applications like psnpatch to delay the ban but apparently you will eventually be banned.

Speaking from experience yes you can do so and there are ways to delay or prevent being flagged but the chances of being banned anyways are still pretty high.

The chances of getting banned are not high at all. I can go for at least a month on DEX, with apps like Webman, Multiman, etc. I don't really open apps like multiman much, but loading games from webman does not get me banned. I think if Sony scans your PS3, than you will be banned. You just gotta make sure not to get banned on games, because if you're banned for cheating, Sony will scan your ps3 to check for modified firmware or files.
