Really don't have any knowledge about PS3 hacks.
The slim model looks good to me and I would like to use it for my old PS1 games and maybe some homebrew if I find something that interests me.
I know that on the PS2 you can load your games from a network storage. Since that is much faster than CD/DVD or HDD I would much rather use such a way to play my games as it also prevents degradation on the reader and disks.
There are some games I want to get and play before prices start to rise, so I thought I would start now.
Is it possible to backup my PS1 games to and play them from network storage on the PS3 (slim)?
Is there anything like dying capacitors like on the really old consoles I have to watch out for? Anything else?
