PS1/2 Ps2 reading some dvds

sounds like the general finickiness with the ps2 dvd drive. a lot of it depends on burner and media. I recently bought a bluray burner, hoping that it could burn better dvds for the ps2 on top of burning bd. however, no discs worked with it. my ps2 has a relatively new laser, and it's a recently bought system like less than a year old probably. it can play legit discs without skipping at all, it can run mega man x3 without skipping (burn), and mega man x collection without skipping (burn). however, it skips with mega man x4. it doesn't skip that often, but it's always during the same scenes. my point is that each ps2 is different. my original ps2 couldn't play mega man x3 for the life of me. it skipped majorly. I've only owned two modded systems though, so I'm basing it on that limited experience.
