nope, you can't boot games from a USB hard drive, and probably never can properly, since PS2 only has a 1.1 USB port...

Lol. True, it's only usb 1.1 and awfully slow, but usb loading is there for years now. But the network loading is very promising.

I have a Memor32 also, but I don't know much about it

Here you can probably ask your question, there's always some guy there who answers everyone's questions. He answerd my question also.

And I do think it's possible to use a usb hdd.

nobody said it was impossible...it's very possible, it's been done, but you will never get appropriate playing speed since the USB port is only 1.1, this can't be remedied with software...Maybe if there was someway to replace the USB port in the PS2...

going with the network adapter what else do i need
can i transfer games from my pc to the ps2 drive

but $ well spent i put a 400 gig seagate in the ps2 and its great indeed........

Haha, i just got a ps2 with WORKING drive + network apapter + shipping for less than 50. Also i think the maximum space you can use is somewhere around 130GB. Not sure, don't have an IDE HDD yet. And when i look at open ps2 loader, it seems i won't need one anytime soon.

indeed, but you did say

The maximum size HDD supported by HDL is 2TB's if i recall correctly. However, HDLoader will only recognise the first 256 images on the HDD so anything that big is ridiculously pointless.

that's right, but it doesn't mean that someone said it was impossible...
this is kind of pointless.

There's usb advance for years now. And there's also open ps2 loader for some weeks now. Open PS2 Loader is said to be faster than usb advance, and the next version that will be released "soon" will be a little faster. Still ~1.1 MB/s is the limit and will always result in too low speed for serious gaming(in my eyes).
