is there like a revival service for the Email app on vita? or a way to use the Gmail site? i have a friend who i email pretty often on there because they aren't a fan of modern platforms and while i know it'd be much easier to email them from my phone or pc i just think doing it from my vita would be pretty funny.

More fun than posting on GBATemp from your Vita? But I also wish for this as I have no way to check my email on the go. Sadly it's Gmail that no longer supports Vita via the Email app nor web browser. But If a 3rd party email client came along that supported all of their high-security modern protocols, that would work. For all the open source stuff and what LUA can do, I think it's possible. But there's not much motivation as most others have smart phones.

You mean the vita email app doesn't let you simply connect via pop3/imap?
If it does, I'm not sure what else you want.

idk waht pop3/imap is to be completely honest all i know is that gmail is no longer supported, i can't speak for other email clients as i haven't used things like yahoo and hotmail in over a decade for signing up for AQW and Moshi Monsters Lol (Edit: AQW doesn't need an email, Idk what i was on about)

Posting to GBAtemp from the Vita was also in the cards at somepoint as another funny bit, though despite the Email one also being a joke it also kinda isn't at the same time as i had a project where i'd turn my vita into a gaming PDA of sorts, while im also aware that i would be better off using a pc or mobile device, my mindset going in was just to create a fun little novelty to own

It's like the document is in flux. Has instructions on bypassing OAuth, recommends against it, then says Google will eventually stop allowing it. But at the top, it was already disallowed 3 months ago. If only a port of Firefox would come along for Vita, maybe webmail could be revived.
