Hardware PS Vita 1000 battery mod?

Hello everyone, I am going to have to replace the battery in my ps vita 1000 model, I was wondering if there are any good ways of putting in a bigger battery instead of original without messing the vita up?

there's a mod that involves two vita batteries that involves soldering the battery wires together to make double the battery life. the vita has a lot of space in the back on the old models
