I got Japanese Hori screen filters today, and I don't know the correct way to apply them on.

Can anyone give me comprehensive instructions on how to prepare/apply them on?

Thank you so much !

get a piece of tape and repeatedly stick it onto your screen, then removing it. This will pull all the little pieces of dust off of the screen. do this repeatedly and comprehensively - it's worth the effort. Other than that, just be careful to match up the squares correctly so its not a tilted protector

The store assistant helped me apply it.

What they did was use (what I think was) a mild soap solution to clean the screen and using a (anti-static?) wiping cloth to dry it.

Here are some instructions that were posted on dealextreme:

"1. Clean both NDS Lite screens with a lintfree cloth and some cleaning liquid (only a little amount). All dirt and grease should be removed.
2. Have some canned air to blow away the smallest particles of dust.
3. Apply the protector in the bathroom after you've taken a shower (all dust in the air will be gone because of the warm water in the air). You can also apply it anywhere else where its clean and dustfree.
3. Make sure the screens are spotfree, NOT A SINGLE dust particle should be noted. Now peel the protection of the screen protectors, and apply it as fast as you can! Make sure to position it correctly in the middle. Apply it from one side to the other (and press any airbubbles out).

If done correctly there should be no dust and no bubbles under the protector.

NOTE: Make sure you put the correct one on the correct screen. I THINK (not sure) the smallest one are to be put on the touchscreen (make sure to position it in the middle)."

Hmm, did they use a sponge with the cleaning solution?

Good stuff though. thanks!

Also, do you remove anything from the protector, like the black tab?

Hmm I took a hot steamy shower and then afterwards when it was still "foggy" I went to get my DS and my screen protectors and slowly put it on the DS. Don't forget to wipe with a cloth that has no dust on it >

what I do to install (bubbles free) clean the screen make sure there is no dust, dip the adhesive side of the screen protector into some water shake it or allow it to dry a little then slowly put it on, the wetness will allow the bubble to slide away easier and since you let it dry the water will fade in about 15 mins to a perfect screen protector bubble free. (only did this 4 times with my psp, DS, cell phone and a friends DS.
