Hmmm...okay, let's say MENUdo was bought by the DSTT company. Since the SCDS1 can run DSTT firmware, does that mean it can also run MENUdo (having the ability to load ROMs)?

Totally agree. If anyone leaked it, I will personally punch that person in the face. SoulAnger has worked far too hard to have someone just expose it like that. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who would buy the flashcart that has MENUdo as the firmware just because it's that good.
We may be pirates but at least we should have respect for the people that truly work hard and whose efforts need to be rewarded.

Sure, he's put more effort into this than the average PAlib project, but do you think he's put the same amount of effort into it as someone who's 9-5 job is to work on developing a game? Why don't those people deserve our respect? Because they don't post on GBAtemp? Because they work for companies instead of working in their bedrooms? If you don't respect professional developers enough to pay for their effort, then it's massively hypocritical to say you respect SoulAnger for his undoubtedly lesser effort.

Besides which, how the hell do you know that "MENUdo" is "just that good"? Because SoulAnger says so? Because a bunch of people in this topic who also haven't used it say so? Because other PAlib programmers say so? There's so much wrong with this topic and my one post doesn't begin to counteract it, but I can't help but ask that people just put that least amount of thought into their actions. MENUdo looks pretty good for a PAlib project, but a) precious few of us can say from first-hand experience whether it's any good, and b) it's still just some guy's PAlib project, except he's charging money for it. I'm sure plenty of homebrew authors would appreciate donations, but because they don't actively put a price tag on their work, none of you are interested in giving them money, any more than you're interested in giving professional developers your money.

well, homebrew may be one person's only job. how would you feel if you got fired and you only get 5 cents a day for your homebrew?

Vague Rant, What you say is true however We do give official developers their props by using their games. And he's not exactly charging money for it, there is a freeware version and then there's the flash cart version which belongs to the company that bought the code for their card. So therefore it's not he that is charging, it is the company. Besides we aren't just going on word of mouth and fingers, there's also the videos that show the features off and the Coffee Sabaw demo which is what most people would've stopped at after getting it to boot homebrew/roms. He's going above and beyond expectations just to make his one of the best programs out there that are rivaled by the best homebrew and commercial interfaces available for the DS. I believe in his ability and I think that this just could be one of the best things to come out along side DSision which completely wowed me. But of course, that's just my opinion.

Other cards will have a "free" version, as in you don't have to buy the card to use it, which has the same features except it can't load commercial ROMs. That's what's meant by free version, you do not have to pay for MENUdo in any way, unless you want commercial ROM support. In that case, you must buy the card that the "full" version of MENUdo was made for, which includes commercial ROM loading. But you don't buy MENUdo itself.

lol its quite easy to throw a few seconds of footage in to a movie, maybe to throw you off ?
consider that before jumping to conclusion, I would give its a 60% chance of being the card thought because of you evidence, but I don't take promos at full face value.

That's what I was trying to explain.. Sorry if I'm not to clear in my posts. But I meerly meant that the free version is for other carts while the full version has commercial ROM loading. However maybe in later versions for the free one the rom loading could be done much like Spinal's DSision2, then free users would just have to setup YSMenu correctly and they'd be able to use it in full glory with rom loading and all that and it would stop people from attempting to hack his homebrew to put in rom loading.

I really wish he'd just tell us though. But, back to the Christmas reference, that would ruin the surprise.

Still, knowing which card it is ahead of time would help out a lot, as I want to get a backup card anyways. Knowing which one to get in preparation for MENUdo's release would help out a lot. By the time I got the card from DealExtreme, MENUdo could possibly be released.

We'll have to see however I believe that he'll have it booting homebrew on every card. It's just comm. rom booting that won't be in every card.

Well its the end of April now and I'm still waiting for this monster of a GUI to come out... Hmm... is it me or did Soulanger want to release it in late March but then he postponed it to late April??
