i hope he doesn't, but then again i really doubt it, but if he does someone just has to buy it and leak to a site, like Windows 7 lol
Id rather not resort to piracy if at all possible. one question concerning the music player it says its an mp3 player will it be capable of playing other formats like ogg? if not it should definitely be implemented because mp3s are crap

IMO, even though I do it all the time, and can be considered a pirate, this one I would not. I would gladly pay for something like this. I mean, think about it. This entire thread made it like we're all helping, giving suggestions and comments to the developer. We made ourselves part of the development this way. And after all that, a stab in the back by pirating it? I wouldn't go that low.

To put some negativity away, when I read spinal_cord's review, it made me even more eager to get this.

That's definitely something to say, especially for the developer of DSision 2 himself O_O

Totally agree. If anyone leaked it, I will personally punch that person in the face. SoulAnger has worked far too hard to have someone just expose it like that. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who would buy the flashcart that has MENUdo as the firmware just because it's that good.
We may be pirates but at least we should have respect for the people that truly work hard and whose efforts need to be rewarded.

Anyway, keep at it Soul! We're all patiently (well, most of us) awaiting this legendary OS (or w/e you call it)!

lol, this is a definitely a weird moment.
Thank you, tiny monkey man girl for your words, and you too sidstyling metal filipino dude.

Btw, blackiris, only a few post were actually considered suggestions. ^^" Everything else were only admiration to MENUdo. Even though, these admiration gave me a strong inspiration. Anyway I thank you guys. Including spinal, man did that preview inspired and touched me.

Totally agree on that. Leaking is such a stupid, annoying thing for pu**ies...-.-. They have no respect for the Coder and his hard work...I realy hope this won't be leaked...

And I'll definitely also buy the official "Menudo Flashcart". Even if it's only compatible for the DS(Lite). Although I still hope for DSi-Support...that would be awesome

Keep up the awesome Work, Soulanger, I'll wait, no matter how long it takes

I see...anyhow, you said that it gave you inspiration in the end, so I guess all's well!

We'll always be here (PATIENTLY people XD) waiting for this to finally come out. Take your time, keep up the great work, and listen to more Machinae Supremacy. I mean...yeah, you get it.

Oh, and about "sidstyling metal filipino dude"...that's gotta be one of the most awesome names I've ever been called. It is now my signature. Congratulations.

so this is gonna be an actual flashcart and not just a firmware replacement? In that case of course you should have to pay for it but can you please at least keep the firmware free?

Will the music player be able to play midi files and other formats? I have heaps of midi music (more than mp3's!)

this is gonna be a flashcart? if you release it as a flashcart PLEASE put it up to download as a firmware ive been waiting for this for a bit now.

This Flashcart firmware replacement is too large to fit into the firmware-chip as far as i read :/
i think it would easily fit on an 8gb micro sd along with games. how much space will it take up?

I think there will still be a Homebrew-Version, which only can't load commercial roms...or have I missed something

i hope it loads roms then there be no point for me =( buts too pretty
As SoulAnger has told us many times, the only MENUdo version that will load roms is the one that he sold to a flashcart company.
The free version that everyone will be able to download can't load roms.
And there is a point. You can just go buy the flashcart that has MENUdo.

now why would I waste my money on a new flashkart just to play roms when I can use akaio on an ak2i and play roms fine on a dsi? I was hoping this would be a way to unite homebrew as opposed to every flashkart having there own firmware but I guess I will have to wait for the dsi homebrew channel

People, people. Too many rumors have completely twisted the story out of context! MENUdo is a firmware alternative, kind of like DSision2. However, MENUdo will only run homebrew on all cards but one. For one card, SoulAnger has made a deal with the card's company so it can run commercial ROMs on it. That's the "paid" version - you pay for the card (not one Soul made but a card already out there) and MENUdo is that card's firmware, capable of running commercial ROMs as well as everything else. But for the rest of us who don't own said card, there will be a "free" version, and this version will most of the same features but it won't be able to load commercial ROMs.

Get it now?

Aha. Of course multiple noobs are going to ask what that particular card is lol

Well yeah, Advice Dog, but I guess the asking eventually turned into a completely made-up answer. The flash card is one already made and is used around the world, and is cheap and reliable, according to SoulAnger. However, the name of said card is not released. Nobody knows except Soul, who will release the card's name in due time.

if we already own the card that it is to be used on can we just upgrade or do we have to buy it again?

Well, let's say for right now that the card is an iTouchDS. (I honestly don't know what it is, I'm just using the iTouchDS as an example) Any version of the iTouchDS would work with MENUdo, but not necessarily will the DSi-compatible iTouchDS work with it. It depends on the inner workings of the DSi-compatible cards, and if the older firmwares from their DS and DS Lite-compatible versions will actually work with them. So if you have an iTouchDS and it turns out MENUdo is for the iTouchDS, just install the firmware like you would with the normal firmware for the card and you're good to go.

awesome i hope is acekard but i doubt it its probably some unpopular card like itouch trying to sell more
