So I have both my 3ds and Wii U homebrewed. A homebrew application I found very helpful was the wii u homebrew app store. Now yes there is a big difference between the wii u and 3ds homebrew. For example there is not installing a .cia file or anything. But if we could build a 3ds HB Appstore it might make installing homebrew files quicker and even safer. I'm making this thread to help look for a team of people who would be willing to help make this a reality. Right now were looking for someone who is somewhat experienced in coding, debugging, writing a web-code, and other things for people who can help make this project a reality. I myself am not that experienced in coding but will still contribute by helping keep the files up to date for the appstore. Please dm me on discord @ dinoblast14#4802

Requriments:
-Decent Coding Skills
-Knows how 3ds homebrewing, and cfw works
-Has a discord.

Why bother with such a thing? FBI has a REALLY extensive list of apps you can install just by selecting them and contains almost every known app on the 3ds, it even has an app that just rickrolls you!:P

I absolutely need to know the name of that app. For science.

Oh, yes, people will TOTALLY make a project on your request. No, they won't. This has already been done before, here's a suggestion. Learn how to make homebrew yourself. Projects are open source, take a gander at a few homebrew apps that do this like Homebr3w.

It was when I discovered FBI had such a function of installing homebrews from a list, so I was going through everything and installing everything that caught my attention, ended up with the best rickroll I've had when I saw an app called "PornHub", it got me good, I died from the laughs!:rofl2: I was just curious, saw it, thought to myself "why not" and installed, worth it.

As mentioned this exists already. See the TitleDB feature inside FBI.

also, you can use the qr code scanner but a nice stylized menu would be nice, pretty icons *o*

Just a little tweaking on FBI to make it more presentable, make sure it has the latest versions (some apps are a bit outdated, although few) and perhaps adding a bit more details about each homebrew should be more than enough, no need to do everything from scratch. Plus with "homebr3w", there's no need to even do all that in the first place other than the adding descriptions thing...

By the way, you really should try doing a bit more research first before asking people to work for or with you next time on an idea to see if it's been done and to what degree, would help immensely. If anything, you might even get lucky and stumble upon a dead project next time you might be able to revive or something similar.

That's no fault of FBI. It parses TitleDB, so if you want updated stuff then submit the respective repos to it.
I know, that's more on the individual homebrew developers' side, but still, spreading knowledge about it can't hurt seeing how a couple of them don't submit the repos to be added to the homebrew database.

I'd say that TitleDB is most of what is needed. Sure, organising it might be a bit better, but... Eh. And it sounds like you're saying something along the lines of "hey someone do this to me". With that said, if I ever feel too bored, I guess I might try my hand at something.

You would be better off learning how to homebrew yourself, rather than requesting someone to make your idea for you. This has nothing to do with development, and is more of a thinly veiled request thread.

Locked.
